Notice of Registration for the Primary Election to be held on Tuesday, August 4, 2026

To the qualified electors of THE CITIES of Hillsdale, Jonesville, Litchfield and Reading and, THE TOWNSHIPS of Adams, Allen, Amboy, Cambria, Camden, Fayette, Hillsdale, Jefferson, Litchfield, Moscow, Pittsford, Ransom, Reading, Scipio, Somerset, Wheatland, Woodbridge and Wright
in THE COUNTY OF HILLSDALE, STATE OF MICHIGAN

 

PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that any qualified elector of the above mentioned Townships or Cities who are not already registered, may register to vote at the office of their respective Township or City Clerk, a Secretary of State branch office, or other designated state agencies. Registration forms can be obtained at mi.gov/vote and mailed to the Township or City Clerk. Voters who are already registered may update their registration at www.expressSOS.com.

The last day to register in any manner other than in-person with the local clerk is Monday, July 20, 2026.

After this date, anyone who qualifies as an elector may register to vote in person with proof of residency (MCL 168.497) at their Township or City Clerk’s office during regular business hours, special pre-election weekend hours, or on Election Day from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., as follows:

You are hereby notified that a Primary Election will be held in all voting precincts in the County of Hillsdale, State of Michigan on Tuesday, August 4, 2026, for the purpose of voting for candidates of the Democratic Party and Republican Party seeking nomination to the following partisan offices: Governor, US Senator, Representative in Congress (5th District), State Senator (16th & 17th Districts), Representative in State Legislature (35th District), and County Road Commissioner.

Please be further notified that delegates to the Democratic and Republican Party county conventions will be elected at the August 4, 2026 Primary Election.

Furthermore, you are hereby notified that the following ballot questions will be submitted to the electors of the following municipalities or districts:

Absentee ballots are available for all elections; registered voters may contact the local clerk to obtain an application for an absent voter ballot.

To comply with the Help America Vote Act (HAVA), voting instructions will be available in audio format and in Braille. Arrangements for obtaining the instructions in these alternative formats can be made by contacting the Township or City Clerk in advance of the election. All polling locations are accessible for voters with disabilities.
