The Mayor and six Councilmen shall constitute the legislative and governing body of the City. They shall be elected from the City at large. The Council shall determine all matters of policy of the City and adopt ordinances and necessary rules and regulations to make the same effective. Further, the Council shall, subject to the limitations of law, raise revenues and make appropriations for the operation of City government, provide for the public peace and health and safety of persons and property, investigate Municipal affairs and, when it deems necessary, any office or department of the City, and do and perform all acts required of it by this Charter.
Meetings are on the 3rd Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. in the Litchfield City Council Chambers at 221 Jonesville Street, Litchfield, MI 49252
